Please note: our terms and conditions apply to Naomi House & Jacksplace organised events only. When registering for a ‘Third Party’ event, you must adhere to any T&Cs set by the company in question, please see the Third Party section below for more information.
Registration for Naomi House & Jacksplace organised events is via Enthuse. Enthuse is a third party company who provide online tools to facilitate fundraising.
Your place in an event is non-transferrable & non-refundable except at the discretion of Naomi House & Jacksplace.
The registration fee contributes to the cost of putting on the event. It will not be counted towards your sponsorship target.
If you are registering for an event on behalf of others, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions on their behalf. To pass responsibility of agreement on to the individual, please ensure they register online themselves.
The permission of a parent/guardian is required for all participants under the age of 16.
When you register for an event, you are expected to raise the minimum sponsorship fee for Naomi House & Jacksplace in connection with you participation. Any fundraising you undertake in connection with the event will be for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
We encourage you to fundraise through the Enthuse giving page, which will be automatically created for you upon registering. If you would like a sponsorship form please email events@naomihouse.org.uk to request a digital copy.
Naomi House & Jacksplace are to receive at least 25% of your sponsorship target 1 month prior to the event, 50% of the target 2 weeks prior to the event and 100% of the target within one month of the event. If you do not meet these deadlines, your place in the event may be withdrawn.
It is your responsibility to ensure that it is clear to your sponsors their money is given by way of donation and once given is not generally refundable, even if you fail to take part in, or withdraw from, the event.
Naomi House & Jacksplace do not take responsibility for any losses in connection with your place in the event i.e. personal items, injury or death.
Gift Aid is a government scheme which allows Naomi House & Jacksplace to claim an extra 25% of your donation value. By signing up for Gift Aid, you can boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you. https://www.naomihouse.org.uk/giftaid
To be eligible for Gift Aid you must be a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on the donation it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
For online donations, please tick ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to gift aid your donation. If using a sponsorship form, it is important all fields are completed by the person sponsoring you to ensure their donation can be Gift Aided.
It can take 8-10 weeks for a Gift Aid claim to be processed and for Naomi House & Jacksplace to receive the money from HMRC. For this reason, Gift Aid won’t count towards your sponsorship target.
Please note: registration fees are not eligible for Gift Aid.
By registering to take part in an event, you are doing so at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to undertake any appropriate training. If you are unable to complete the event, you are responsible for your own transportation home.
When you register for an event, you are confirming that you are in good physical health. You should inform Naomi House & Jacksplace immediately if anything happens which puts your participation in doubt.
In the nature of the event please consider your choice in clothing. It is your responsibility to come suitably dressed including suitable footwear. Naomi House & Jacksplace take no responsibility for inadequate attire.
Please be responsible and take care at the event, in respect of your own safety and others.
I understand that I do it at my own risk and that Naomi House & Jacksplace will not accept liability for any injury or loss that may occur as a result of my participation. I understand that I will need to arrange a lift if I am unable to complete the walk.
Naomi House & Jacksplace reserve the right to refuse anyone on the day of the event where they believe their presence may have a negative effect on the quality or safety of the event.
If it is necessary to delay, postpone or cancel the event due to reasons beyond our control, Naomi House & Jacksplace will attempt to reschedule the event and allow attendance of all those who registered previously and paid in full. If you are unable to participate in the rescheduled event you can choose to defer, or we will issue a refund.
Cancellation of an event or any changes will communicated via the email address provided upon registration.
By agreeing to our terms and conditions you consent to the use of any photo or video of which you may appear to be used by Naomi House & Jacksplace for future marketing purposes of the event and/or on printed materials. Typically we would only use images taken at events for 3 years.
Naomi House & Jacksplace authorised photographers will be identifiable wearing a high-vis vest. Photographers from the media and press may also be present.
If you wish to withdraw your consent at any time, please do so by contacting the marketing team and call 01962 760060 or via email events@naomihouse.org.uk.
If you produce any promotional materials which use the Naomi House & Jacksplace name or logo, you should contact events@naomihouse.org.uk for approval, before use or distribution.
To ensure donors have the information they need to make an informed decision about giving to a charity. Sharing our charity number shows that we are registered with the Charity Commission. You should include Naomi House & Jacksplace charity number 1002832 on all promotional materials.
You may reference Naomi House & Jacksplace as the intended beneficiary of the funds but must not imply that you are an official fundraiser or representative unless explicitly authorised in writing.
Any communication, marketing, or promotion related to the fundraising activity should make it clear that you are acting independently to benefit Naomi House & Jacksplace.
Some of our events are via a third party organisation i.e. skydive, treks and races. It is your responsibility to read any terms and conditions issued by the third party and abide by them.
For running events such as London Marathon, Great South and Southampton Marathon, you will be asked to complete an online portal for the third party organisers. Naomi House & Jacksplace may need to share your name and email address with a third party if you are taking part in a challenge event i.e Skydive.
Third party organisers for runs require you to complete an online portal to confirm place on the day. If you fail to do this before the specified time, the race organiser won’t allow you take part in the event and your place will be cancelled.
Due to the nature of outdoor events i.e. skydives, treks and races, a certain element of risk is inherent. The third party reserves the right to cancel or change the event for safety reasons should environmental or other unforeseen circumstances deem this necessary.
All Naomi House & Jacksplace terms and conditions remain in place for third party events.
The personal details you provide us upon registration will be used by Naomi House & Jacksplace only and not shared with any other company with the exception of third-party events.
By agreeing to the terms and conditions Naomi House & Jacksplace will send you information about the event you have registered for. If you have opted into receiving marketing and fundraising communications Naomi House & Jacksplace will additionally share news about activities and charity news.
Naomi House & Jacksplace is committed to protecting your privacy and ensure that all your personal information is held securely and safely. The charity holds and processes personal details in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations and is registered with the Information Commissioner (registration no. Z5063145) as a data controller.

Naomi House & Jacksplace deliver events in a friendly, professional, and respectful way and our staff/volunteers should be treated in the same manner.
Any abusive behaviour of any kind at our events is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately and/or refuse entry.
If anyone is under the influence of alcohol or illegal substance during the event, we again reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately without obligation.
