Port Solent based contact centre software provider, Ultracomms, has completed an ultramarathon to raise money for its Charity of the Year, Naomi House & Jacksplace!
Over the weekend of 6th June, a team of 11 employees faced the heat and collectively ran a total of 58 miles between them. The team have been seeking sponsorship from contacts, colleagues, friends and family and have so far raised a whopping £2,479 for Naomi House & Jacksplace. Included in this total is the match funding Ultracomms contributed to anyone who ran in fancy dress!
Victoria Ford, Technical Client Service Executive/Philanthropic Officer at Ultracomms, said:
“Due to so many events being cancelled this year, we were keen to think of new and different ways we could fundraise and maintain our commitment to Naomi House & Jacksplace, our Charity of the Year. On the weekend of 6th June 2020, members of the Ultracomms team carried out a double marathon with each runner taking on their own leg of the 52.4 miles (plus a little extra). Some of the team even ran in fancy dress, including a Baywatch theme and a unicorn onesie! It was great to be able to work as a team and collectively raise the money, despite all of us running separately in our local areas.
“We’re delighted to be donating a further £2,479 to this remarkable cause and are already starting to think about our next fundraising activity!”
Donations are still coming in to celebrate the team’s epic achievement. Show them your support by sponsoring them on their JustGiving page here: www.justgiving.com/team/Ultrawarriors2
