We've been asking Naomi House families to share their thoughts with us about what Naomi House means to them at Christmastime.
Joshua and Ethan Twine regularly visit Naomi House, with their mum, dad and little sister, Mia. Mum, Charmaine, shared with us a few reasons why her family love coming here.
Charmaine said:
“We love going to Naomi House as it gives us a chance to be together as a family, and for Josh and Ethan just be themselves.
“Ethan loves arts and crafts and the Play Team are amazing, as they always make sure there is lots for him to do. Josh loves being there – he feels very relaxed and enjoys making new friends. When he visits and stays overnight he knows he is going to be well looked after.
“Naomi House has given us so much joy – we have been lucky to see Santa twice! The first time we met Santa was so magical; it was just after we first started going to Naomi House, and Santa flew in on a helicopter and gave all of the children presents! It was the first time Mia had really been into Christmas – she was so excited, she ran when her name was called, grabbed that pressie, and ran off as quick as her legs would take her!
We have had so many magical moments at Naomi House – it’s hard to pin point that one magical time because we’ve been lucky to experience so many as a family. But Santa is definitely one of the top ten.
Without Naomi House we wouldn’t have so many treasured memories.
