May The Fourth Be With You… On Thursday 4th May, otherwise known as Star Wars Day, local man, Jacob rallied his squadron of ‘Star Troopers’ and took to the streets of Winchester to raise vital funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
Jacob and his friends dressed as well-known Star Wars characters and took photos with the public on Winchester high street to help raise much needed funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
They hosted some epic Jedi Lightsaber battles and even did a meet and greet with a local bride and groom on their Wedding Day! The Star Troopers raised a fantastic £602 from their bucket collection.
Shirlie Juliff-Smith, Supporter Services Administrator at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:
Thank you so much to Jacob and his team of Star Troopers for raising awareness and donations for our charity with your Star Wars themed bucket collection. We were truly inspired by the team’s confidence and creativity and love that our local community got to have some fun and support our charity. Thank you to everyone involved and to the members of the public who came across Jacob and his team and gave generously.
Event organiser, Star Trooper leader and brains behind the epic fundraiser, Jacob Hodgkiss, said:
