A group of 54 mountaineers are celebrating after raising more than £25,000 by conquering the highest mountain in Wales.

Snowdon Sunrise brought together participants with a shared common goal: to make a difference. We had individuals, corporate supporters, student nurses and staff all raising money for Naomi House & Jacksplace by putting themselves to the test with a 1,085m summit. Led by the amazing team at SVL Adventures, we set off from Llanbaris in the early hours of Saturday morning of July 20th. The group braved the weather with hopes of witnessing a breathtaking sunrise at the summit.

Despite facing relentless wind and rain throughout the night, everyone showed remarkable perseverance and team spirit and kept pushing to the summit. While they may not have seen the sunrise, the challenge itself was a reward.

Gemma Rolfe, Fundraising Officer at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

Although we didn't get to see the sunrise, the experience was unforgettable. I found the weather conditions were tough, but the spirit and unity among the group was incredible. Everyone kept each other motivated, and the sense of achievement when we each reached the top was immense.

Remarkably, our amazing climbers have raised over £25,000, proving their commitment to our cause. All funds raised will help us be there for seriously ill children, young adults and families on good days, difficult days and last days.

Ella Clayton, Senior Fundraiser at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

The support we've received has been overwhelming. Raising over £25,000 is an extraordinary achievement, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who took part and donated. Their hard work and dedication will help us continue our vital work.

Lastly a shout out to Greggs School, Southampton for supporting the event with their newest minibuses and superb volunteer drivers. We wouldn’t have made it safely to Wales and home again without you.

This event highlights the power of community and the impact of collective effort!
