Our hobbit, elf and wizard friends over at Clone Media recently took on the epic journey across Middle Earth to support Naomi House & Jacksplace.
Their epic mission had them start at the Shire (aka our hospices in Sutton Scotney) and take on the 22-mile journey to Mordor (aka their offices in Basingstoke)! The whole team were sporting their best Lord of the Rings attire – with elves, hobbits and wizards alike joining forces to hike across Hampshire’s countryside to support our hospices.
Clone Media are a marketing agency based in Chineham and provide engaging, cost-effective branding for businesses.
Gandalf the Grey, aka Joel Dalton, co-owner of Clone Media, shared this about his fundraising journey:
We had an amazing day walking 22-miles from Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices near Winchester, back to our offices in Chineham. Thanks to Connor from the hospice’s fundraising team for his fabulous directional skills! The countryside was breath-taking and the weather was kind to us, until the last few miles when the heavens opened! The team really embraced for the fancy dress theme. We were thrilled about the generosity shown by people who sponsored us, and the money we raised for the hospice made the sore legs worthwhile!
Bold and might hobbit, Connor Phillips (aka Naomi House & Jacksplace’s fundraising officer) was lucky to join and navigate on the day. He said:
Each and every member of the team from Clone Media were just incredible, not only with their dedication to supporting our hospices through the walk, but with the brilliant effort that went into their costumes! We are genuinely so lucky to have their support and I know everyone here at Naomi House & Jacksplace appreciates all that they do for us.
If you and your team would like to organise a similar walk or talk about other ways you can support the children, young adults and families in our care, please get in touch at: partnerships@naomihouse.org.uk.
