This November, staff from the Navy Catering Training Wing at Worthy Down, treated young adults, families and staff in Jacksplace to an evening of yummy stone baked pizzas and sweet treats.
The wonderful team from Worthy Down aimed to bring smiles to the faces of young adults who visit Jacksplace and our hardworking staff. To achieve this, they brought along two pizza ovens to create a delicious variety of pizzas with many topping options.
The staff from the catering training wing are responsible for training the future chefs of the Royal Navy. This team has been kindly supporting Naomi House & Jacksplace for the past couple of years. Their support has included participating in the Great South Run and donating proceeds from their own in-house events.
Paul Conybeer, Culinary Director at Navy Catering Training Wing at Worthy Down, said:
If we can add a smile to the faces of the children and the dedicated staff of Naomi House & Jacksplace, that in turn brings a smile to our faces. To play a small part, whether fundraising or assisting with some moral boosting, gives us a healthy boost of wellbeing. We will always make ourselves available to help where and when we can.
Make a difference this Christmas by donating to support life limited and life threatened children and young adults.
