We recently hosted our first ever Race Night, in partnership with Norton Park Hotel and Spa, with a guest appearance from top-winning jockey, Sean Levey!
The fundraising event was attended by over 150 people from local businesses and featured horse racing shown on a large screen, totes and a race host compere. There were eight sponsored races shown and 64 sponsored horses. Crowds cheered on their horses and there were prizes for each winning horse owner.
Guest jockey, Sean Levey, gave a talk during the event and recalled highlights of his career, from pony racing, to becoming a top winning international jockey. He also gave the audience a fascinating running commentary on his legendary victory at the 1,000 Guineas on Biddesden Brook at 66-1.

We were absolutely delighted to host our first-ever Race Night for our corporate partners. The event was an absolute success thanks to the amazing team at Norton Park Hotel, our fundraising team, our sponsors, our volunteers and our corporate partners, who all came together to create a very special evening to help support our families.
The atmosphere on the night was electric as the everyone was shouting and cheering their favourite horses over the finish line. And the star of the night was undoubtedly Sean Levey, with his interesting stories and experiences. We’re looking forward to hosting an even bigger event again next year!
Norton Park Hotel and Spa hosted the event, donating the space, catering and staff, free of charge. Paul Russell, General Manager at the hotel, said:
