Creating memorable partnerships with businesses at Naomi House & Jacksplace is something that we are very proud of. Our relationship with Fuller, Smith & Turner is a shining example. Their incredible support for our hospices began in 1995 with The Wykeham Arms in Winchester, marked by a heartfelt first donation of just £22. Nearly 30 years later, this remarkable partnership has grown into something extraordinary, with their total contributions surpassing an astounding £45,000!
The Fuller’s team has participated in countless creative, inspiring, and even downright challenging events, fostering a sense of unity and engagement that aligns seamlessly with their company’s culture and values. Their support has made a real difference, enabling Naomi House & Jacksplace to reach more families and provide even greater care for children and young adults
Fuller’s commitment to giving back doesn’t stop there. The company encourages every pub in its network to raise funds for local charities, providing match-funding to amplify their efforts. It’s all part of their mission to ensure their pubs remain vibrant hubs of community connection, bringing people together and strengthening social bonds.
One of the standout moments this year was the “From Sea to Summit” challenge, where 21 adventurous Fuller’s employees pushed themselves to new heights—literally! The journey began with a 19km cycle from the sea at Caernarfon to the shores of Llanberis Lake. Next came the ascent of Snowdon, where the team earned breathtaking views from the highest peak in Wales and England. The grand finale? A 2.5-mile kayak circuit of the glacial waters of Llyn Padarn, one of the largest natural lakes in Wales. Truly an unforgettable feat!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and were successful in their attempt, whilst also being able to raise a brilliant amount of over £15,500! Overall it was a great success, bringing our teams together in the wider business, and we're already planning our next charity adventure.
It is our pleasure to do a challenge each year and this would not happen without the support of my amazing team. From Max Griesbach’s dedication in planning, to Mabs Kha fatherly support along with continuous raffle donations, to Michaela de Lazzari’s desire to keep going on the Jurassic Coast with a bad hip, to Edina Nagy’s determination to reach the finish line in the Lake District. These events have brought us together and created a team which does the best possible for such a special cause. You do truly amazing work for the children and young adults in there.
It's not just adrenaline-packed adventure days that the team has embraced to support Naomi House & Jacksplace. Throughout the year, they’ve hosted a variety of events that perfectly align with their business and community spirit. Highlights include enchanting Opera and Shakespeare in the Garden evenings at The White Buck Inn in Burley, festive Halloween and Christmas fairs at The White House in Guildford, and lively Golf Days and quizzes at The Pilgrim Inn in Marchwood. Whether it’s a raffle for a luxurious bed-and-breakfast stay, a Spooky Spectacular Night, or a bustling Christmas Market, their dedicated teams and loyal clientele continually support our hospices with heartwarming generosity and enthusiasm.
At Naomi House & Jacksplace, we pride ourselves on pioneering holistic corporate fundraising through a variety of innovative initiatives. These include team fundraising, volunteering, offering professional services, donating gifts in kind, sharing our mission, making referrals, and sponsoring our events. Fuller’s teams have embraced these opportunities wholeheartedly, inspiring their wider community to get involved. Beyond the incredible funds they’ve raised, they’ve also volunteered their time to maintain our beautiful gardens for families to enjoy, supported our Garden of Roses campaign, and graciously provided space in their stunning venues for our meetings and team-building sessions.
Their energy, creativity, and kindness make a lasting impact, helping us continue to provide vital care and support to the families who need us most.
Being able to visit Naomi House & Jacksplace was a real eye opener. Since working for Fuller’s I’d always heard so much about them but never had the chance to visit. Now I have, that changed everything! To see first-hand the amount of effort that goes into looking after the hospice and children was a truly incredible experience to the point I was left speechless. Being able to support them, is a real privilege. Since visiting, I have been able to give people the full insight on what the hospices do and each time I get such a remarkable reaction. You guys do an absolutely amazing job looking after the children and families!
Working with the Fuller’s teams has been an absolute pleasure and such fun. Where else could I enjoy Much Ado About Nothing with my daughter, whilst supporting a raffle in a beautiful pub garden with the sun (almost) shining? The creative and dynamic ways in which Fuller’s continues to support us is fantastic. Matching opportunities that are of value for both partners, and really wanting to make a difference, is key to the success and longevity of our relationship. Our partnership has evolved and gained momentum and that is absolute credit to the managers and staff for their engagement with, and passion for, Naomi House & Jacksplace. Thank you so much. We truly appreciate all your support.
