For my sixth blog post, I'm going to talk a bit more about meeting amazing people, only this time, these people are influential in different ways!
Children who receive respite care are often invited to different charity events and sometimes, if you're very lucky, you may get to meet a famous face or two! This predominantly happens when said celebrities are patrons of the hospice, but can also happen through simple invitations for support.
I've been fortunate enough over the years to meet such people as Cheryl Baker, Stacey Solomon, Dave Berry, Jamie Johnson (more than once!) and McFly!
Whilst meeting celebrities is an exciting experience in itself, it's really humbling and heartwarming to know that even those who are highly regarded by society are happy and willing to take time out of their busy schedules to support children's hospices in any way that they can.
I am so very thankful to each and every one of them for the support they give our children's hospices nationwide.
