Charlie, who regularly visits Jacksplace for respite and day service, shares with us his experiences at Jacksplace at Christmastime.
“People say the hospices are magical at Christmastime, but I think Jacksplace is magical all year round. I love coming here and spending time with my friends.
“When I’ve visited in December, I’ve enjoyed the Christmas quizzes, baking festive shortbread, the 12 Days of Christmas choir performance and all the chocolate! I also really enjoy the parties - especially the Jacksplace New Year’s party.
“A highlight for me one year was when Portsmouth Football Club came to visit. I’m a Liverpool fan myself, but I play wheelchair football for Portsmouth. Four members of the team came into Jacksplace and I thought it was nice that they actually took the time to come and speak to me.”
