Hamptworth Golf Club Ladies support Naomi House & Jacksplace
The ladies of Hamptworth Golf Club have got creative throughout 2021 to fundraise for our hospices.
Hamptworth Golf Club Ladies Captain, Sally Huffam, chose Naomi House & Jacksplace as her charity to support throughout her captaincy in 2021. Sally chose to support our hospices as we were there for her and her family when her grandson, Teddy, sadly passed away, and have continued to support her family ever since.
2021 started off as a difficult year for fundraising, with golf clubs not re-opening until late March, and it was then quite some time before it was safe to meet in large groups. So Sally and the Hamptworth Ladies got creative! As well as their Ladies Golf Day, they made and sold various things to help Sally along with her fundraising, including selling their own homemade marmalade and diaries, running competitions with the Senior Men’s Section to raise money, a big garden party for the ladies and their partners in Sally and her husband, Chris’s garden, and donations from members during the golf club’s ‘Club Captains Day’.
Knowing the money that we raised throughout my year as Ladies Captain was going towards helping families make the most of the short time they had with their children really encouraged us to raise as much as possible for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
