Taking time out of his busy schedule, the big man himself, Father Christmas, took to the skies and visited Naomi House & Jacksplace, to greet the young adults.
Swapping his reindeer for a 592 shaft horsepower engine helicopter, Father Christmas was assisted by The Gazelle Squadron for a very special annual visit. Landing in grounds of Naomi House, Father Christmas jumped out of the helicopter and made his way across the grass, carrying a large sack of gifts.
The young adults, carers and families were excited for the early arrival of Father Christmas and made their way to his Grotto inside Jack’s Cabin, usually used as a socialising space for the young adults. After a conversation about what they wanted this year in their stockings, they were presented with an early Christmas present.
Before heading back to the skies, Father Christmas and his pilots were able to enjoy a hot beverage and homemade shortbread biscuits made by the wonderful catering team.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Gazelle Squadron who have supported us for many years and not only brings Father Christmas but also the Easter Bunny. Every time they visit they put a huge smile on everyone’s face and gives the children and young adults at the hospices a special experience they won’t forget.
