On Saturday 8 April, the Gazelle Squadron Display Team flew in a very special visitor to surprise the children staying at Naomi House & Jacksplace, local hospices based in Sutton Scotney for children and young adults. The Easter Bunny hopped out of the Gazelle Squadron’s helicopter and handed out Easter Eggs to everyone visiting the hospices.
The helicopter crew opened the doors to not one but two helicopters so that the children could look inside before posing for a photo with the Easter Bunny.
The kids loved it, it’s amazing and I’ve never seen helicopters that close-up before, especially with the Easter Bunny inside! My son is visiting Naomi House for a couple of days and he really enjoys his visits. His sister has also come today because she missed her brother.
Every year, the Gazelle Squadron Display Team volunteer their time to fly their helicopters to Naomi House & Jacksplace and, depending on the time of year, they bring a special guest for the children visiting the hospices, Santa at Christmas or the Easter Bunny during Easter!
Their visits to the hospices are a real highlight and bring cheer, excitement and fun to the families using the hospice’s services.
Naomi House & Jacksplace is so close to my heart, it's a very special place and filled with such great people. Me and the crew absolutely love hopping into one of our helicopters at Easter to bring a bit of magic and joy (and chocolate!) to the children and families who are visiting the hospices. I was delighted that the Easter Bunny could join us too! See you next year!
