This Easter, the children visiting Naomi House & Jacksplace were paid a surprise visit by the Easter Bunny.
The Easter Bunny made a special visit to the local hospices for children and young adults, and flew in by helicopter to deliver a whole load of Easter eggs for the children to enjoy. The visit and flight were made possible by the Gazelle Squadron Display Team.
This remarkable visit by the Easter Bunny is part of a programme of fun activities that create treasured moments for life limited and life threatened children and young adults as well as their families.
In addition to delivering Easter eggs, the Gazelle Squadron Display Team made a generous donation of £1,000 to the hospices. In a typical year, Naomi House & Jacksplace needs to raise £8million to deliver its plans and services. It’s the kindness from individuals and groups like the Gazelle Squadron that help Naomi House & Jacksplace care and support local families.
Each time the Gazelle Squadron visit, either at Christmas time with Father Christmas or just recently with the Easter Bunny, they brighten our day. They volunteer their time, they make a real difference and they bring joy to the children and young adults visiting our hospices. We can’t thank them enough for the memories they help to create.
The Gazelle Squadron have been supporting Naomi House & Jacksplace for the best part of a decade now and we are all immensely proud to be associated with such a professional organisation. The care, compassion and support that they provide for life limited children and their families is clear for everyone to see and for that reason alone we will continue to help them achieve their aims in whatever way we can.
