The Community Furniture Project, a charity based in Basingstoke, has generously donated a large collection of toys and games to Naomi House & Jacksplace.
The Community Furniture Project is part of Newbury Community Resource Centre, who help local people in need by reason of their youth, infirmity, disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances. They promote independent living by providing re-used furniture and household goods and opportunities for volunteering, training and work experience.
Over Christmas, The Community Furniture Project ran their first ever Toy Appeal, and it was a great success.
I was delighted to hear that the Community Furniture Project wished to deliver such thoughtful gifts for the children and young adults who use the hospices. I look forward to continuing this fantastic relationship.
