Chrome Telecom substitutes Christmas cards for donation
Over the Christmas season, Naomi House & Jacksplace were lucky enough to receive an amazing £1,500 from Chrome Telecom!
Chrome Telecom are based in Hedge End, Southampton, and provide phone systems, mobiles and network services to UK Businesses. Instead of sending out the Christmas cards and presents they would usually give to their customers, Chrome decided to donate the equivalent sum to a charity of their choice. Staff and customers nominated charities to receive the donation and, to make it fair, Chrome used an online generator to pick at random the lucky cause that would benefit from their generosity. As you can imagine we were so grateful to receive the news that we would be receiving the monetary gift!
Daniel Woodham, Managing Director of Chrome Telecom, said:
For Christmas 2020, we decided to donate our gift budget to the charity who had the most votes from both our customers and our own staff. We had an amazing response and some really great charities were nominated. My nominated charity was Naomi House & Jacksplace and I was so pleased to learn they'd been nominated by some of our employees and customers too. As you can imagine, I was ecstatic when I got the call to let me know they had won the draw!
Naomi House & Jacksplace holds a special place in my heart. I can’t begin to imagine the impact of having a terminally ill child. Having four young children myself, I understand how important it is to have support if your child were to become unwell.
