CarFest South Here We Come!
We are so excited to be returning to CarFest South this year! On the last weekend of August, join us for the UK's largest family fundraising festival, featuring fast cars, performances from some of UK’s best musicians, incredible food demonstrations, a host of the UK’s TV, theatre, music & sports legends and some brilliant charities!
In July 2021, we received a call from the CarFest team to invite us along to CarFest South as one of their chosen charities. As it was their 10th anniversary celebration, they opened up their list on benefiting charities to include a children’s charity local to their CarFest North and South sites – and who was more local to Laverstoke Farm in Overton, the setting of CarFest South, than Naomi House & Jacksplace?!
After a great festival in 2021, we are thrilled that CarFest has invited us back to CarFest South for a second year! Car Fest South is running from Friday 26th - Sunday 28th August, and this year, we’ll be located in ‘SpaFest’, the health and wellbeing village. We’ll be surrounded by lots of great stalls that’ll help you feed your mind, body and soul, from The Healthy Eatery, where you can get tasty snacks, salads and pizzas, to The Studio, filled with yoga, meditation and mindfulness sessions.
We’ll be returning with Naomi & Jack’s Sensory Zone, an area that showcases the range of services and support that we provided to the families in our care. In our Activities Space, there’ll be a range of activities that our amazing care team have created, so no matter what your ability, there will be something you can interact with and explore at our stand.
We’ll also be bringing our Sensory Space, a mobile version of our Sensory Room at the hospices, filled with sensory toys, comfy bean bags and colourful lights to create a calming space. This will be alongside our Impact Space, filled with family stories, quotes and pictures of the hospices, to showcase how Naomi House & Jacksplace make a difference to the families in our care.
We’ve got a fabulous team coming along for the weekend, from our Garden Volunteers, to our Fundraising Ambassadors and even a couple of our Nurses! There will be lots of our wonderful staff on hand to answer any questions you may have about Naomi House & Jacksplace, and to be able to share passion and expertise for what we do.
CarFest is a family friendly festival that aims to raise as much money as possible for children's charities each year. We are fortunate enough to receive 1% of the total funds raised, which has a huge impact on keeping our hospices running for the families in our care. Families like Bonnie’s, who was born with severe brain damage and wasn’t predicted to live longer than a month. But despite all odds, Bonnie is celebrating her 30th birthday this year.
