Our charity shops provide a great source of income to enable us to provide care for local life limited and life threatened children, young adults and their families. We are looking for a Shop Manager to run our shop in Basingstoke and raise our profile in the area.
Doing all you can to increase income to support the work of the Trust, your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting customers, merchandising, pricing, stock sorting and rotation, banking and staff planning.
All of our shops aim to offer a pleasant customer experience with a good old fashioned 'bargain to boot' and we expect our Shop Managers to reflect this in their approach to work.
Working with your Assistant Shop Manager and volunteers, it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature. Experience in retail would be ideal and in charity retail an advantage. A full driving licence would be useful, although not essential.
This is a fixed term appointment for up to 9 months.
Working hours
The role is 5 days / 35 hours a week with regular Saturday working (3 out of 4 Saturdays) and, on occasion, Bank Holiday and Sunday opening. So flexibility over working hours will be essential.
Benefits include the opportunity to work in an organisation where every job matters, 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, and a group pension scheme.
£17,733 for 35 hours per week
